Healthier Organizations Means More Productive Employees
![]() According to a Watson Wyatt report (http://www.watsonwyatt.com) entitled Making the Connection to a Healthy Organization, the definition of a healthy organization is "one that has established a balance between organizational health and workforce health. The Enterprise for Health (EfH) network defines a healthy organization as "one whose culture, management, working climate and other business practices create an environment that promotes the health, effectiveness and performance of its employees. Healthy organisations are financially successful and have healthy workforces. Healthy organisations are able to balance economic performance goals with employee health and wellness goals and can adapt the balance within the context of a continuously changing economic and social environment." The purpose of this site is to share information about various current and emerging issues in Canada and the U.S. -- through newsletters (see each subject page for past newsletters) -- relevant to the examination of what makes organizations and workers healthy.
